Clare’s philosophy is that every child can make progress with their literacy skills when given a tutoring program based on their individual needs. 

 

As a new student, Clare will first determine your child’s reading, spelling and writing skill level utilising several specialised assessment tools. 

 

The assessments will provide Clare
with a complete picture of your child's current abilities, as well as their strengths and challenges.

 

Clare makes the assessments completely non-confronting and fun,
so most children are not even aware they are being assessed. 

Next Clare will develop a tutoring program for your child based on the results of their assessments.

This program will be devised using
researched, evidence-based, comprehensive literacy interventions, which include structured synthetic phonics delivered in a highly-structured manner in small steps.

Clare accepts both Primary and Secondary students and has a current Victorian Working With Children Check.

 

Tutoring sessions, which are delivered in Clare’s Lismore VIC’s home class-room, are normally 60-minutes long, once per week.  This of course can be adjusted based on your child’s individual needs.
